What a wonderful world this could be

I propose a toast to World Peace! Now think about World Peace and tell me: what do you see in your mind's eye? Do you see the image of muslims and christians and jews hugging each other, laughing and partying?

Come on, be serious. Do you believe this is possible?

I think it's easier to believe in Santa Claus bringing Easter eggs on an UFO than in this. When I think of World Peace I see this in my mind:

 

What do you think? Don't you think that a world like this would be much more peaceful than it is now? Of course, technically speaking that would be impossible to achieve so if we think a little more realistically then we would get something more like this:

 

Which although not as clean and beautiful as the previous one, still looks much more peaceful than the one we have now, don't you agree?
Well, of course we would lose quite a few assets like Egypt and other cradles of human civilization, but hey, no pain, no gain, right?
Wouldn't you be willing to pay a certain price for world peace, the end of terrorism and holy wars?
